2026 is going to be a great year for the North Bay! Our SVP of PR & Partnerships, Marissa Lucas, meets with the North Bay team to learn more about the history of San Francisco and Marin. In 2025, there was a major $5 million renovation at San Francisco—adding +15,000 sq ft of new fitness space, updated locker rooms, and more. Our communities have never been stronger in the South Bay! This year, every club in the region saw exciting renovations and updates—from new pickleball courts and refreshed spaces inside the clubs, to all-new locker rooms at Redwood Shores. Across the South Bay, members are also enjoying upgraded fitness equipment and innovative programming designed to bring the community together. It’s been a milestone year for our SoCal region! In Los Angeles, El Segundo unveiled major fitness floor renovations, while Redondo Beach upgraded its fitness spaces and added BeaverFit, which has been a great addition to outdoor programming. Down in San Diego, members are enjoying upgraded fitness equipment and enhanced programming, with even more innovation and golf updates on the horizon for 2026. At MCC, a transformational $15 million renovation is underway, that will completely reimagine the club. And, the most exciting highlight—we welcomed Griffin Club Los Angeles in Cheviot Hills, an incredible addition to the region! There’s so much to look forward to in 2026!

Meet the Team

In 2025, our members and associates helped make a meaningful difference in communities throughout the West Coast. Together, we cycled for $1.5M in cancer research funds at Tour de Pier and hosted Manhattan Wine Auction, and with your continued generosity, we deepened our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco, turned out for pink themed classes during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and continued donating toys, for our annual Toys for Tots drive. This year, we strengthened safety across every Bay Club campus with continued expansion of AED availability in clubs, annual CPR/AED certification for all associates, and fully operationalized safety drills built into our monthly associate training. 

And after hearing from members who wanted access to the same life-saving skills, we recently introduced American Red Cross CPR/AED certification classes for members at participating clubs. To sign up for your certification class, visit Connect.

This year, we expanded Shared Membership to include up to 10 people, giving you even more flexibility to build a membership that reflects the community in your life. We made this change because we’ve seen firsthand how members use Shared Membership to bring their worlds together—friends who started as workout buddies, families who span generations, colleagues who turn lunchtime pickleball into lasting connection.

This past year, we introduced our Leadership Fundamentals program as our new standard for investing in our Code of Culture and developing our associates—bringing teams together for 8 weeks of hands-on learning, cultural alignment, and real leadership training. Many graduates now teach the program themselves, strengthening their clubs from within. Watch the video to see how we’re growing future leaders across our campuses.

This summer, we welcomed 14 interns from top universities across the country for a one-of-a-kind, fully immersive experience across the Bay Club network. Over four weeks, this group traveled to 10 cities and heard from industry leaders ranging from professional sports teams to hospitality and retail brands, exploring the vast opportunities for career growth in the Sports, Outdoor Recreation, and Active Lifestyle industry.

And in 2026, we’re expanding the program even further to host interns in each of our core regions. Students will experience rotations across key departments, receive executive mentorship, collaborate on a real business capstone, and have opportunities to travel between regions to understand our campus model in action.
