Building Careers: Interns To Full-time

Gabi Jones
Corporate Administrative Associate

Going into the 2025 Summer Internship, I was excited to dive into the Sports, Outdoor Recreation, and Active Lifestyle industry, which has been central to my life for as long as I can remember. The experience showed me how much there was to explore and learn in a space I knew I wanted to be part of. After completing the internship, I had the opportunity to return full-time and begin my professional career with The Bay Club. Working at the corporate office, I’ve been given the space to explore my passions, build on my strengths, and grow in a fast-paced environment that challenges me to think, adapt, and contribute in meaningful ways.

Silas Starr
Operations Manager at Bay Club Portland

Being part of the Sports, Outdoor Recreation, and Active Lifestyle Internship in 2024 was a blessing and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The Bay Club provided a unique experience that opened my eyes to the structure of the industry, and over the four-week program I learned valuable insights that left me curious and excited about the company’s future. The sense of community the Bay Club fostered, and their willingness to create space for young people eager to help grow the company, truly motivated me. I entered the internship knowing very little about the industry and left feeling fired up and inspired by where the Bay Club is headed. The team instilled the company’s core principles in us, and I carry that motivation with me every day, contributing however I can.
